DES MOINES – Iowa Senate leaders today released more details about a joint agreement that balances the state budget responsibly and continues efforts to grow Iowa’s middle class.
“This agreement is the result of bipartisan negotiations where Democrats fought hard for priorities that will expand Iowa’s middle class,” said Senator Bob Dvorsky of Coralville, chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee.
“In the end, we chose compromise over gridlock. Democrats remain committed to making smart investments in the economy, education, and health care.”
